Veterans day

Yesterday afternoon Caroline had a fever so I decided to keep her home from preschool today (even though she feels fine today). We dropped William off at mother's day out and Caroline and I got to spend some time together. It was really fun just spending one on one time together this morning and it made me realize this is something we don't do enough. We spent the morning honoring our veterans. Here is a pic of Caroline saying the Pledge of Allegiance (her idea BTW to go outside and do this...and we've already done it 3 times!)

We also made a care package to send to a soldier that is serving in Basrah. These are some of the things Caroline helped me come up with:

1. Jelly Bellys
2. Beef Jerky
3. International calling card
4. Throw away camera
5. Word puzzle
6. Hand wipes
7. Chips ahoy cookies
8. God's promises book
9. Stationary and pen
10. Gardettos snack mix

We sealed the box and I was thinking how exciting this is to be going to the post office without little brother....we get there and it's closed...duh! Happy Veteran's Day! To those that have served our country, words cannot express our gratitude.
