Have you ever had one of those days where you receive really bad news and then really good news all in the same day? I think the bad news might trump the good news. Confused yet?
I don't want to go into detail too much b/c I don't want to worry others or myself any more than I already am. William is doing some hearing tests and we should have a definite outcome in about a month on what we are looking at. We've already told ourselves it would be a little premature at this point to assume anything (easier said than done)! I'll have an update in a few weeks.
Here is our good news....drumroll....after THREE months the investigation is complete. Our agency has been cleared and they are able to continue to operate in Ethiopia. We continue to believe as we have from the beginning that they are invested in the lives of these beautiful children. Also, the number of court hearings have increased now back up to around 40ish a day. Things are really looking good! AND, yesterday we received a totally random unexpected check in the mail that fell within $100 of our next installment to our agency. I opened it and just wanted to cry!
This has been so encouraging to hear. We had asked our agency to put everything on pause for us and now we can finally begin to move forward. Whew! We should now be on the wait list hopefully by May or June. All I can say through all of this is that God is so so good and it's reminded me to be asking myself, "do I praise Him through the trials?" Not really, but I am trying! Lol.
