Kindergarten has begun!

Caroline has officially started kindergarten. Some of you know that we were in prayer about what type of schooling we thought would be best for our kids. It has been a full year of seeking advice and maybe a little anxiety. I sought guidance from so many. We ultimately came to the conclusion that there is no right or wrong answer between public school, private school, or homeschooling. What is best for our family might not be best for others or vice versa. We ultimately made the decision to do what is called university model schooling. You can read about it here.

She goes to a private school for a few hours for 2 days, we homeschool for 2 days, and then we have 1 flex day for field trips, more homeschool, or maybe a day where momma does laundry. :) So far we have one week down and we are really enjoying it. Caroline is eager to learn and I couldn't ask for a better student at home. Some of our struggles right now are how do I educate my child with a very, very busy 2 year old? AND, what will it look like with another child (or two...)? We are going to take things one day at a time and of course I daily remind myself that I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me!
