William goes to school

William is loving his new school. He is getting to go every day for 2 hours to a speech program that is offered by our school district. It's a brand new elementary school. How nice it is to have everything new and super clean! I must say I have been super impressed with the school and staff. They keep his class at under 10 kids. He has his teacher, an assistant, and the speech therapist comes twice a week. He also gets to ride the school bus. It is door to door service. You ask, what? A 3 year old on a bus?? There are car seats, a driver, an assistant, and only 5 other little people on the bus with him. His class is ALL boys.
He was super pumped about riding the bus the first week of school. For some reason this is every child's dream. Well, starting the second week they switched the bus on us with new driver, assistant, and etc. They've actually done this several times. It was really difficult because it totally threw him off. So, we addressed our concerns about the inconsistent bus stuff to the transportation department and his teacher.

TODAY he came home with a book his teacher made him all about the bus. It had pictures of all the drivers and assistants. On the last pages it explained that sometimes these people will be sick and that change is OKAY. I just wanted to cry because sending your child off to school in tears really brings on some serious mommy guilt. Teachers that go the extra mile like this for our children deserved to be praised. Overall we are at 100% of teacher happiness with both kids.
