beach fun!

We had a great time at the beach last week! I don't care what anybody says, I love Galveston! It's not Destin, but it's what I know and loved as a kid. Having grown up in Houston, Galveston is where we spent our summers. Since our kids haven't started school yet we still have the luxury of going places in the off season and saving money. Our family, my parents, and my brother and his fam stayed at Pointe West resort. We had a great time- despite the long car ride, whiney kids, and kids that don't sleep in long enough. ;)

Of course, we did not leave the island without a trip to my FAVORITE ice cream parlor in the entire world-La Kings and a visit to the oh so awful smelling military store Colonel Bubbies.



I don't think he liked it at all!
