Caroline trusts Jesus

On November 30th sweet Caroline asked Jesus into her heart.

"...no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again." John 3:3

"In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." Luke 15:10

We were driving in the car and she said "Mommy, I want to follow Jesus." Ever since she's been born we've been talking about Jesus, but it was just within the last year that she really started to understand how much God loves her, enough for him to send a son, Jesus, to die on the cross for HER. We had been waiting for her to take the lead on when she wanted to fully trust Jesus in her heart. What we love the most is her "child-like faith." It's the kind of love we should all have-pure and without reservation. We realize at 5 years old she may not have the biblical knowledge that some of us do, but I wonder how many of us have faith like she does? For now, we want to mold her and shape her into the little lady God created to be. It may not be until later in life that she sees what it means to surrender her life fully to Jesus, but we know now that she is forever His. Next step is getting baptized or aka "baptitized." Woohoo!

Some sweet and funny things she has said since:

"Our life will be washed clean new."

"I didn't sleep all night because I was dreaming about bugs and so happy I trusted Jesus in my heart."

"I can't wait to die so I can see all my favorite friends, like Mrs.Bartley and Kelsie." This is her old preschool teacher and her daughter. Do you think she really misses them? I told her they're not dead yet, so we can see them here on earth and yes you will see them in heaven too.

"Where do pets go when they die?"
