Discombobulated

Having kids really makes me see that I am NOT in control! I can plan for things and do everything I can to prepare, but sometimes you just have to roll with the punches.

I am sitting here in Keith's parents media room watching "Kipper" with Caroline. We just got back from Urgent Care and she has tonsilitis (AKA strep throat). We went to the doctor several days ago and she was diagnosed with an ear infection. I left thinking it was a little odd that the doctor never looked in her mouth. Now here we are...in the midst of moving, dishes piled high in the new kitchen, and watching "Kipper." William stayed with my parents last night and he is again tonight. THE PLAN, was for me to be getting stuff done, but instead I sit here giving C as much TLC as possible.

Keith is back in RR overseeing the movers today as they pack up the house. The movers brought a huge Mayflower semi truck this morning. The bad part is that it cannot fit down our street. The house we have been renting has a beautiful one lane entrance into the subdivision covered with trees on either side. Literally, the truck cannot fit down the street. We had to rent a uhaul and the movers are loading everything into the uhaul and then moving everything from the uhaul over to the Mayflower truck....I guess in another section of our neighborhood where the streets are wider! Essentially, moving THREE times.

The closing went great yesterday. "Home" is anywhere our family is, but it is SO nice to be a homeowner again! I feel like it is Christmas. Everything has been boxed up for the last 6 months so it's been super fun getting all my junk out again.

PSS~ I forgot to mention that the doctor decided to give C some pain medicine to help numb her throat. I gave it to her and about TWO seconds later it was all over the floor, her clothes, and my favorite Barbie from 1984. Check out this hilarious commercial of the Barbie:
